Cerec
The CEREC procedure allows crowns and dental inlays to be produced in a single appointment. Previously, this type of procedure took up to a full week before you had the final crown.
This technology also allows Dr. Laramée to maintain control of the total quality of the result and does not require any involvement from a dental laboratory.
Including E.MAX grinding products. the aesthetics and durability of the crown made at our clinic is equivalent to your natural teeth. This product happens to be the most biocompatible available on the dental market.
Implantology
Implantology is the most innovative and fastest growing discipline in dentistry. In the case where one or more teeth are missing, implants are a good solution to replace one or more edentulous spaces.
The placement of the implant is done in two parts. First a titanium screw is placed into the jaw bone. Then comes a healing period of 3 months and ends with the placement of the ceramic crown on the implant.
Digital Impressions
Experience precision and comfort with iTero digital impressions at our clinic. Using advanced scanning technology, we create highly accurate 3D models of your teeth and oral structures in minutes. This modern method eliminates the need for alginate and other messy materials, ensuring a perfect fit for dental restorations such as crowns, bridges, and aligners. Enjoy a faster, more efficient, and comfortable dental care experience.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry also has several other benefits. Most dental fillings were made primarily of gold, amalgam, and other materials that appear dark on the teeth. All of these materials were part of common procedures for treating decayed teeth.
Today, dental fillings can be shaped in a completely aesthetic manner. There is the possibility of choosing between two materials for your fillings. There is porcelain and composite materials. These have a wide choice of colors that will imitate the color of your teeth, thus maintaining their natural appearance.
Many people can replace their amalgam or other metal fillings with porcelain or composite materials with an appearance resembling their natural teeth.
Whitening
Almost everyone can benefit from teeth whitening. It is a quick, safe and effective method for whitening teeth. Tooth whitening is a well-established procedure in cosmetic dentistry and has been used safely for many years.
Noticeable results have been seen on most teeth discolored or stained by coffee, tea, red wine, etc.
The degree of whiteness may vary from person to person depending on the number of applications, the duration of treatment that was done and the structure of the tooth itself.
Treatment of gum disease
If you have periodontal disease (gum disease), you are not alone. Many adults in Canada currently have some form of this disease. Periodontal disease can vary. It can be found in its simple form which is an inflammation of the gums. Then there is its more serious form which can lead to significant damage to soft tissue and bone tissue. This disease therefore attacks a vital part of oral health. In the worst cases, teeth become loose and tooth loss follows.
Regardless of the stage of your gum disease, the important thing is to take care of your teeth and gums every day, and to consult a dentist to follow up on your periodontal disease. You have the opportunity to cure periodontitis from your first visit.
Safe removal of dental amalgams
Today's environment has different impacts on our bodies compared to previous generations. Heavy metals are a growing concern in medicine. Healthcare professionals and individuals are requesting the removal of their amalgam restorations (silver mercury fillings) due to the high mercury content. A safe protocol is put in place to replace mercury fillings that ensures that there is minimal absorption of materials during its removal. Strong porcelain or composite materials are available today to create a healthy, functional mouth. Preparing the patient before and after the procedure is essential to eliminate mercury from the body.
Digital X-rays
Digital dental technology has contributed to the development of new x-ray machines, including panorex x-rays. The latter offers a complete view of your full mouth tomography. Digital x-rays are growing in popularity because they produce up to 10 times less radiation and take only seconds to develop.
Healozone
HealOzone is a device that produces ozone from oxygen and applies it to the part of the tooth affected by decay. Ozone works to kill bacteria that cause decay. Studies have shown that as little as ten seconds of ozone treatment can eliminate 99% of oral bacteria.
Once the bacteria are dead, a substance that promotes mineralization can be used to supply the missing minerals to the treated tooth. This process can actually repair some of the damage that bacteria has caused, making it a much more attractive option.
Caries that have significant decay will still need restorations. Composite infill may be placed in the site. The size of the filling depends on the size of the original cavity left by the decay.
